Hospital Care

At Caughey Preston we have the ability to support a total of 98 Hospital level residents. 78 of those reside in our main hospital unit on Ventnor Road. We also have two boutique hospital units of 10 beds each – one in Ventnor Home on Ventnor Road and one in Upland Home on Upland Road.

Residents and their families take comfort in the knowledge that they have the support of qualified clinical staff 24 hours a day. Our staffing levels for Hospital residents reflect the high levels of care required. Overall, for our Hospital services we provide combined care and nursing staff at a ratio of 7 clients per staff member.

Residents are provided with a Care Team comprising of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists supported by the Admissions Coordinator, Nurse Manager, Dietician and Pharmacist.
