Influenza A (H1N1)
Mexican Swine Flu
At Caughey Preston we are taking the potential threat of Mexican Swine flu seriously and have implemented cautious measures to ensure our environment is safe for our clients, their families and our staff.
All people who enter any of our buildings are requested to use the antiseptic hand gel provided.
Anyone visiting the site with flu symptoms is asked not to enter but to return once they are well.
We have a detailed pandemic response plan ready to be put into action should the need arise but we are hopeful that the wonderful work being done by the Auckland Regional Public Health
Service and others around the country will ensure this is not necessary.
It is the flu season anyway, and the best thing we can do to minimise infection is good hand hygiene. Keep you hands washed frequently - use the 20/20 rule - 20 seconds to wash your hands and 20 seconds to dry them. If you use an antiseptic hand gel do remember to wash your hands with soap and water after the 5th use of the gel - or it will not be as effective controlling infection beyond this.
