Clive Jones
Clive joined Caughey Preston Trust in October 2007. Clive emigrated to NZ from the UK in 1988 and since then spent three years in manufacturing and commercial areas in Auckland before joining the health sector in 1991. The last ten years have been spent in the Aged Care Sector and public health in Auckland and Christchurch. In 1995 Clive gained his MBA through Massey University. Clive enjoys DIY and likes nothing better than to knock things down and build them up again and to tinker with old machines.
Cathy Gifford
joined Caughey Preston Trust in March 2008. She is a Registered Nurse who has worked in Aged care since 1977 and has a nursing post graduate diploma from Auckland University. She enjoys engaging with Caughey Preston staff in the improvement processes of Quality, Health and Safety and Staff Development to ensure that care delivery to our clients on all levels, is of a very high standard and that staff work in a safe and learning environment. Cathy enjoys country life in rural Auckland and has a grown up family.
Margriet Toebosch
is a Qualified Social Worker and Teacher. Margriet came to NZ in 1982 from Holland and having previously worked in Canada, Germany, Sweden and Italy. She joined Caughey Preston Trust in 1995 having worked as a Social Worker at Auckland DHB and Middlemore Community Health Services. In her 11 years at Caughey Preston Margriet has seen many changes and through it all has consistently encouraged a focus on individualised needs, supported with respect and dignity.
Bobby Gerneke
Bobby joined Caughey Preston in March 2008. She is a member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education as well as a Higher Diploma in Human Resources. She has over 10 years experience in Human Resources gained in reputable organizations in NZ and internationally, as well as experience in Health Care Support. Bobby’s true passion is HR Best Practice and assisting the organization to achieve Service Excellence. She enjoys working at Caughey Preston as it combines her interest in HR and Health Care. She is married, loves her home and spends her spare time hiking, running, doing yoga and keeping fit.
Denis Clark
has been the Trust Board's Secretary and Finance Manager for 14 years. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. He also maintains the IT services for the site. Denis is married and has 2 daughters.
Cathy Unkovich
joined Caughey Preston Trust in June 2003. Cathy originally qualified in the UK as a residential Social Worker and began her career working with disadvantaged children. In 1997 she attained her Bachelor of Health Science in Occupational Therapy at AUT. Since then she has worked predominantly in the Aged Care Sector. Cathy manages a skilled team of Activities Coordinators who deliver a comprehensive leisure activity programme and clinical OT assessments and interventions.
Lois Kritos
Lois has a long history in Healthcare, initially in Theatre and Intensive Care areas, before entering Hospital Management in 1974. Although her main focus has been as Operations Manager for a large group of Surgical Hospitals throughout NZ, she is now very passionate about the provision of excellent service to Aged Care. Family members with Dementia / Alzheimer’s revealed a whole new world of opportunity to become involved in within this very important and worthwhile branch of Caring. Married, with 5 beautiful grand children and a large garden, Lois’ life is very full.
Sherrill Allen
has been working at Caughey Preston Trust for 18 years. She was involved in the design of the centralised meal service at Caughey Preston 15 years ago and also carried the role of OSH Co-ordinator for 10 years as well as managing the Catering service. Sherrill is proud to still be at Caughey Preston after all these years, proud that the Catering Service delivers home style meals and very individual choices for our clients and extremely proud of the 15 Kitchen staff. Sherrill's partner Acts and Directs in theatre. Sherrill has 2 sons and a daughter and 7 grandchildren. She is Vice President of the Dolphin Theatre and loves her home and garden.
Shirley Cameron
has worked at Caughey Preston Trust since October 1992 and has seen many changes over the years. Shirley is a Registered Nurse and trained at Christchurch Hospital. Shirley has an earlier background included Social Work and working within the Auckland DHB. Shirley enjoys working for a non profit organisation and appreciates the staff at Caughey Preston and the fact that work is never boring. Shirley is married with a son in Hong Kong and Auckland and a daughter in New York. Her interests are reading, films and travel.
Ankelien McIntosh
is a qualified Registered Nurse and Midwife and has an Advanced Diploma in Nursing. Ankelien has been with Caughey Preston Trust for 8 years and prior to that has 25 years experience in Geriatric nursing both overseas and in New Zealand. Ankelien's interests are gardening, reading and a love of sailing having sailed around the Pacific with her family.
Gloria Budgen
has been with Caughey Preston Trust since September 2005. She has over 30 years experience in Finance and Management including 11 years Management experience in Healthcare. This has spanned acute public healthcare, social services, residential and home based Aged Care in New Zealand, coupled with private hospital based care in Australia. With a focus on the operational environment Gloria has a passion for the Aged Care Sector and the importance of providing a high quality of life for our residents. Her interest in Aged Care started when her own mother was admitted to a residential care facility. Gloria is also Chair of the Northern Branch of Healthcare Providers of New Zealand. Gloria is married and has a son and a grand daughter.
