Caughey Preston Trust is a private Trust, founded in
1950 through the bequest of Auckland pioneer
business woman, Mrs Marianne Caughey Smith-Preston.
The Board of Caughey Preston is comprised of 9
Trustees plus one Life member in absentia.
With collective service to the Trust Board of over
200 years and an average length of service of 22
years our 9 Trustees maintain a stable and committed
focus ensuring that the Trust continues to provide
services and support in accordance with the original
wishes of our benefactress, Marianne Caughey
Smith-Preston. In deed, many of the Trustees are
members of the Caughey family.
The combined skill set of the Trustees covers a raft
of business acumen and expertise ranging across Law,
Finance, Healthcare, Property Design and
Development, Training, Commerce and Management and
many have involvement in governance roles with other
Charitable Trusts, Community based organisations and
Commerce.
The full Board meets monthly on the last Wednesday
of each month with the Finance and Audit Committees
meeting as required.
